Hello, my name is Dr. Lance Bridges. I was born and raised in Warner Robins, Georgia. I spent the majority of my childhood outside playing sports. Sports have always been and continue to be, one of the loves of my life. I graduated valedictorian from Perry High school in 2012. I went on to study kinesiology at Valdosta State University eventually earning a Bachelor’s in Science. While at Valdosta State I was very active in different clubs and organizations including Sigma Nu fraternity, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Freshman Learning Community, to name a few. Originally, I was attending school with a focus on a degree in education until one day I hurt my back playing flag football. I went to the medical facility on campus where I was prescribed painkillers and muscle relaxers. A whole week went by and my back pain wasn’t improving. I went back for a follow-up examination hoping for an answer for my unrelenting pain. Unfortunately, I was prescribed more medication which left me at a dead end for a solution to my problem. By chance, I went to an event where I met a Chiropractor.. I knew absolutely nothing about chiropractic at that time. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.  A few appointments later and I was back to normal. I was SHOCKED that such a natural approach to healing could be so effective. I began to shadow my chiropractor at his office where I found it wasn’t just me getting great results. Every patient coming in was experiencing some type of lifestyle improvement. This was when I knew I wanted to help people like this for the rest of my life. I changed my major and spent an entire extra year of school taking prerequisites in order to be accepted in Chiropractic school.

Education

After obtaining my undergraduate degree,  I began my journey to accomplish the goal of becoming a chiropractor at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. While at school I became proficient at Palmer Package adjusting and spinal evaluation. I also completed additional hours of coursework in Activator Methods, Sacro-Occipital technique, Trigger Point Release Therapy, Spinal Kinetics and Rehabilitation, Extremity Adjusting, and Pettibon Methods. I graduated in the top 10% of my class summa cum laude. I also have completed and passed all four National Examinations to become a Board Certified Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine.

Results from chiropractic care

While in school I married my wife, Brooke, and we had our first child which started my passion for chiropractic during pregnancy and childhood. I saw firsthand the benefits that chiropractic can have on expecting mothers and children. While in practice, I have treated many different types of patients and conditions including personal injury, lower back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, disc herniations, and scoliosis, to name a few. One of my most memorable cases was a young boy in his early teenage years with a 16-degree scoliosis. His dream was to become a pilot for the Air Force but unfortunately, if the curvature in your spine is above 9 degrees they will refuse you admission into the program. After following all recommendations and believing in the process, my team and I were able to get his curvature below that 9-degree benchmark. There is nothing better than being a part of making someone’s dreams come true.

Lance’s Personal Life

After graduating from chiropractic school I moved back “home” to middle Georgia where I practiced for two years. Eventually, my love for the ocean made me decide to head to the beautiful beaches of Panama City. When I am not helping patients I enjoy spending time with my wife and two young children, watching sports (GO DAWGS), and spending time outdoors. The best gift God has given to me is being a husband and a father. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
