If you have never looked into the world of chiropractic spinal manipulation, you could be missing out on an important modality for helping you enjoy optimal health, wellness, comfort, and injury recovery. Chiropractic adjustments to the spinal column can ease pain, enhance joint motion, improve your posture, and help your nervous system function normally. That’s why we’re happy to offer this non-surgical healing modality at our chiropractic clinic.
If someone told you 30 to 40 years ago, that dentistry would be painless would you have believed it? Would you have believed that surgeons would be performing laser surgery while watching a television monitor? By the same token, would you have believed that Chiropractic treatment could be delivered using a computer while you were in a comfortable position, without any sudden movements? Could you have imagined that newborns as well as older people with osteoporosis could be treated safely and gently with this same revolutionary technology?
Traditional Chiropractic treatments are done by hand. The doctor delivers a force into the spine to adjust the vertebrae. However, sometimes, this manual procedure cannot be done fast enough to counteract the body’s muscular “tightening up” to fight the adjustment. In our office, we use an instrument used and developed by NASA called The Pro Adjuster Computerized Physical Medicine System. For the duration of the scanning and adjusting, the patient remains seated. There is no twisting, turning, popping, or cracking while utilizing the Pro Adjuster! First, the doctor scans the spine to find “fixation” where your spine is not moving properly. The doctor will then adjust the specific vertebrae causing the problem, again, using The Pro Adjuster Computerized Physical Medicine System. The doctor adjusts ONLY the misaligned vertebrae using the ProAdjuser.
When The Pro Adjuster Computerized Physical Medicine System senses something move the ProAdjuster will stop adjusting automatically. The doctor will perform a second scan after the adjustment to ensure that a change was made. All of these scans and adjustments are displayed via graphs on a computer screen right in front of you!
The human spine consists of a complex arrangement of vertebrae, discs, joints, and the muscle groups that allow the spine to twist, turn, and bend. It also hosts the spinal cord, with major nerves running through the vertebral spaces to serve the rest of the body.
Unfortunately, many problems can afflict this delicate combination of moving and non-moving parts. Even the smallest subluxation, or joint imbalance, can limit joint motion, causing neck or back pain. Dislodged or herniated discs can press against nerve roots, producing neurological discomfort or weakness in the extremities while also affecting your systemic health. An unbalanced spine may throw the rest of your body out of balance, leaving you with chronic aches and pains.
Chiropractic spinal adjustment can relieve these problems. Our chiropractic physicians use manual or instrument-assisted techniques that deliver small but focused force to spinal components, shifting them back into position. By normalizing your spinal alignment, we can ease neurological symptoms, reduce muscular strain, and help your neck and back move more freely.
